We've been waiting for you. You have no idea how much we have been waiting for you. We've been thinking, praying, dreaming, hoping, preparing, planning, painting, decorating, building, learning, reading, and anxiously anticipating - all for you. You don't understand right now, but your mother and I are totally and completely in awe of you.

For 9 months we have waited. For 9 months we have prepared. For 9 months we have been excited, anxious, scared, overwhelmed, happy and impatiently awaiting your arrival. For 9 months we have longed to meet you.

Today, you arrived.   After 23.5 hours of labor, you arrived - healthy and beautiful.

There are not words that can really describe how incredibly thankful we are that you are here. I'll be honest, your mother and I have no clue what we're doing. You are our first, so be patient with us - we're learning. We will, however, love you each and every day. We will feed you, hold you, teach you, raise you, lift you up, help you, and prepare you for this life as best we can.

We'll do everything we can to raise as parents that love God, and love each other. We're so glad you're here.

Welcome to our world.
